Listening to your body

I think I finally understand what it means to be in tune with your body thanks to spending Winter Break at home.  I can’t even explain in words how much energy I have now that I’m not forcing myself to work out five days a week with 3 days of HIIT and now that I am learning to pay attention to how many calories my body tells me it needs instead of what the calculators online tell me.  I think I understand now that my body can’t handle all the workouts I was cramming in, and even though I have been eating a lot of yummy cookies, I still physically feel amazing from just working out like 3-4 times a week and eating clean the majority of the time.  I’m going to try to keep this up once the quarter starts which will be nice because I will have more days when I don’t have to walk around campus in gym clothes (Hello, rest of my closet!).  With all this said…now I am going to go test out my new Polar FT40 watch with some jump rope HIIT and free weights legs day.  YAY (:
